Location: Vodice in Croatia Date: last week of July 2008 Description: Vodice is one of biggest tourist centers on Middle Adriatic. It is situated on the sunny coast of the Middle Adriatic, the area of bright sea. At distance of 12 km from here there is the ancient town Sibenik, a little to the north there is the river Krka, and towards south-west range the isles of Kornati archipelago. The famous, 4 km long, well-equipped and well-kept Plava pebble beach extends from Vodice to fishermen village Tribunj. The beach is a mixture of concrete plateaus, pebbly and rocky areas. Along the beach there are plenty of pine trees providing lots of shade. There are also diving schools, windsurfing and other water sport facilities to rent. Vodice itself has a long promande with lined bars, restaurants and shops. Beside with families, Vodice is very popular among younger people who appreciate its variety of beaches, accommodation and nightlife which includes Hacienda open-air club, one of the hottest clubs in Croatia.
