MANCHESTER, England, April 11 (Reuters) - Croatia's Duje Draganja had a message for other world record holders after winning the 50 metres freestyle title at the world short course championships -- enjoy it while you can. Draganja said an unprecedented world record avalanche in the last eight weeks meant there was every chance his new mark of 20.81 seconds could be toppled in a matter of days. "World records are being set to be broken next year or even in weeks," he told a news conference. "It doesn't matter, I'm a world record holder now, that's why I'm going to celebrate tonight because I might not be tomorrow." The Olympic silver medallist set one of five world records in Manchester on Friday, taking the number of new marks established since mid-February to 30. In the Olympic-size pool, Australian Eamon Sullivan and Frenchman Alain Bernard have between them lowered the 50 metre freestyle record four times in less than six weeks after Russian Alex Popov held it for almost eight years. "It felt good, I felt I had it in me," Draganja told Reuters. "All I needed was a good start and I got it." Swimming in an outside lane, the 26-year-old went into the turn level with Briton Mark Foster, four times winner of the event, but exploded off the wall to become only the third man to break the 21-second barrier in the short-course (25-metre) pool. Foster, 38 next month, finished second in 21.31 seconds to win the 47th international medal of his 23-year swimming career. He will have another chance to become the oldest world swimming champion in Saturday's 50 butterfly final. "I aim at the stars, I got to the moon, so I'm pleased with the silver," he told reporters.
